Lychee - Male White Plakat

Lychee came from my Yellow Koi x Dumbo spawn. I absolutely loved his look and thought he'd make a fun pair with Strawberry!

Strawberry - Female Red Fancy

Strawberry is from the Yellow Koi 3a spawn from the spring of 2023. I don't typically breed bettas so young, but she had developed well, was eggy, and had a good temperament for breeding. She never marbled.

Goals

I chose this pair for a few reasons. Both bettas had really nice form, sharp fins, and nice looks, and shared the same father. This meant that they both carried the Yellow gene, low marbling, and the chance to produce fry that didn't marble over time. I was really hopeful that they'd have the best qualities coming from both sides.

Yellow bettas with lots of iridescent or white masks.
Koi markings
Doesn't marble over time.

Amount : 15

Deformities : One case of dwarfism

Colors : Yellow, Copper, Reds, Kois, Fancies

Goals Met : Great colors, some never marbled with age while others marbled by 1 year old.

Continue : I am uncertain if I will be continuing this line at this time due to moving and the age of the bettas once I'm settled in and ready to breed.
