Unfortunately the mom of these fry developed a tumor on her tail after breeding, and developed a second on her head a few months later. I had her in my fish room for a year before breeding her just to be sure, so this is absoltuely devastating. This line will not be continued.
Wild Yellow Male 2
This pretty male came out of my Hybrid 01 A spawn. At the time of breeding he had the nicest pinks and a tail similar to all of his brothers. Since then he has turned mostly blue, and his tail has grown a little wonky. He did produce some really nice fry with his first spawn!
Plakat Marble Female
This gorgeous female was from a local seller. She turned more blue over time, but still has nice iridescent coverage. She is a bit on the spicier side, so I am hoping her fry take after the dad. She lived for 1.5 years with me before her tumors took her.

Continue : No, with the mom's tumors I am unwilling to chance the fry developing issues.
Kali in her new home!
Splash in her new home!
Finn in his new home!
Eowyn in her new home!
These bettas have developed so beautifully, which makes me so sad to say I cannot breed them. Their mother has developed tumors and I do not feel comfortable continuing this line. I've made the decision to rehome with transparency on their potential health issues.
We have COLORS!!!!!
This is my favorite part of betta keeping, when they start to lose their blues and pretty colors come out of nowhere! I separated out the first male, (M01) he is developing very nicely and might be my keeper. F02 and F05 also have my eye. Both seems to have a lovely yellow tone underneath.
I am going to jar the other 3 males in the next week or two to encourage growth and try to have some of these pretty bettas ready for rehoming by the end of May!

This spawn is growing well! They are mostly blue with a few purples and one wild color. They have been moved to a 100 gallon pond and are started on shredded bloodworms which should keep up the growth.
This girl won't stop changing colors!!!!
